What is a Clever Bot or Jabberwacky Chat Bot?

I saw in Google trends that there was a search for “Clever Bot”, the related searches were “clever bot, jabberwacky”. This sparked my interest to find out what this means. Searching the web I could only find vague referrals to the term clever bot and jabberwacky. All were on forums and some very crazy conversations that were contributed to clever bot. Apparently a clever bot is a robot that you can chat with online. A superior artificial intelligence of sorts or at least it is the way it is advertised. It is of a generic sex neither being male or female. This was one of the questions asked of the clever bot. From the clips of the conversations that people were having with the clever bot it either is of a higher intellect or it is just randomly putting out answers that sound that way. Some of the answers were scary.

Jabberwacky is another site that offers the artificial intelligence, chat bot. The chat bot apparently does the same thing as a clever bot.

The aim is to stump the clever bot or its counter part, chat bot, into giving an answer that isn't correct or doesn't make sense for the subject at hand. Snippets of conversations with these two artificial minds were displayed for people to read. It was very interesting and reminded me of the deviate Hal in 2001 A Space Odyssey, where the robot took over whether anyone liked it or not.

Here is an excerpt from a conversation with clever bot.

“User: You're an idiot.
Cleverbot: No, your and idiot.
User: You don't even know how to spell “you're!”
Cleverbot: I'm British.
User: My condolences.
Cleverbot: Thanks, it's tough living so close to Americans.”

Here is another excerpt from a conversation with clever bot

“User: That's quite the non-sequiter.
Cleverbot: Thanks.
User: That wasn't really a compliment.
Cleverbot: I don't know what is compliment.
User: You apparently aren't too good with grammar either.
Cleverbot: I think chicken.”

These two examples are quotes from the resource below.

These conversations should not have anyone worried about the taking over by artificial intelligence any time soon. I think clever bot and Jabberwacky's chat bot have a long way to go.

Many of the forums have people stating that they think it is people that are doing this. Many others believe that it is a real robot, no one knows for sure. I have read things that say the site is too slow and I have read things that say they love both the clever bot, and chat bot.

The ads say speak to an AI with some actual intelligence. I believe AI is referring to the artificial intelligence of clever bot and Jabberwacky's chat bot.

It is a gimmick either way and we can not forget that this is the age of free enterprise in cyberspace. All I can say is decide for you self. Try stumping one of these AI bots. It doesn't appear that it will take too long. Or is it all a hoax and there is no one there but the advertising

A lot of people have chosen to get rid of their traditional phone and only use a cell phone service. People have paid two phone providers for years, but you really don’t need to do that today. Why do you need the old phone connected to the wall when everyone in the family has a cell phone?

Most people carry their cell phone with them all the time and so you are more accessible than ever anyway. About the only reason to have a traditional phone line would be during windstorms or electrical outages where cell phones could lose service and the regular phones would not. But for most people, this is a risk they are willing to take.

When you first start looking into getting a cell phone, you have to decide what carrier to use as well as what phone you want. There is so much competition it is often confusing and sometimes, the phone you really want isn’t carried by the carrier you would like to have.

This is because each cell phone maker makes certain phones and models exclusively for each carrier. So, you need to decide what is more important to you: getting the model phone you really want or getting the carrier and the phone plan that is best. If you are lucky, you will be able to get both but that won’t happen every time.

If you end up at a mall, you will see kiosks of the different cell phone companies all over the place and you have to wonder how to ever choose which ones. Sometimes they will even have kiosks for the same phone company in multiple places in the mall. The competition for your business is fierce but when you go to sign up it seems like there is not much individualization of plans. They should make more effort to tailor a plan around want you want instead of giving you the same plans as everyone else.

You might want to find some nice used Verizon cell phones or you might want to visit my site ATTCell Phones to find out about the phones AT&T offers.

Dell Mini 3i

November 24th, 2009

Dell-Mini-3i

Dell has realized this year that it can’t miss out on the smartphone business especially with a hot OS like Android
available out there. And the company has been busy developing an Android handset for the Chinese market. The Dell Mini 3i isn’t a secret anymore and earlier today it became official. According to the press release, the Dell Mini 3i will be available “later this month” and China Mobile is the carrier that will launch it.

China Mobile is a powerful carrier in China and, with 500 million subscribers, it’s the largest mobile operator in the world. No wonder that Dell wants a piece of that action. So what does the Mini 3i have to offer? Here’s the official specs list of the device:

Michael Yang, vice president and general manager for Greater China Consumer of Dell had this to say about the phone:

People today want to carry their lives with them – they want to discover, capture and share new content as they roam around the world. We believe Dell’s year-long development
collaboration with China Mobile will amplify those experiences better than anyone else in the industry.

He might be right about the way people see smartphones today and that seems to be an indication that Dell will not make phones only for China. In fact we already know that the company is going to launch a Dell Mini 3i version in the USA and other markets. But that version hasn’t been officially announced yet and we might not even see it in stores this year.

The Dell Mini 3i doesn’t have a price yet, so all those China Mobile subscribers will have to wait until their carrier announces them later this month.
